Why have a web site?

Over the years RacingWebs has built over 50 sites for the racing industry and if you are a trainer then this information might be of interest

There are three sections that new Visitors look at:

• Current News, if this is not up to date they won't come back
• Horses for Sale
• Facilities

There is only one page that the Press look at:

• Current News

The sections that your Owners will read are:

• Current News but more importantly their own password protected information on their horse
• Horses in training especially if linked to the Racing Post
• Engagements, again if linked to the Racing Post (RacingWebs is the only web developer that has a contract with the Racing Post to allows us to link to their site)
  
  The section that your staff will read:
   
• The Staff page

Therefore by having a web site you are looking to attract new owners, keep the ones you have, inform the press, sell horses and to keep your staff happy.

Keeping owners happy however is probably one of the most important things as it is 10 times harder to get a new owner as it is to keep the ones you have.

If you look at David Pipe's site and select news. David updates this section himself on a daily basis as well as many other pages. You don't need a web master or use a standard template like everyone else to update your web site if you choose RacingWebs, we can show you how using just Microsoft Word.

On JeremyNoseda's site you can see the most recent form of every horse in the yard provided by the Racing Post.    

Jeremy's owners can sign on to the Internet at work and be updated online in minutes and see what's happening in the yard. There is even a password protected section on the web for up to the minute information. The beauty about the Internet is that you can access it anywhere, at home in the office and now from your telephone.

James Bethell has revolutionised racehorse ownership with his three horse syndicates and has sold a number of shares due to his Internet site. James has a password protection system on his horses in training so he can keep his overseas owners up to date.

Ferdy Murphy uses a content management systems to update his news section but the site is still custom built and not a template CMS system Click >>> to view.
